Written by In November we adopted an Italian Greyhound through IGCA Rescue of Texas. We decided that fostering retired racers became rather challenging when school is in session as the juggling of activities presented difficulty. Lindsay always wanted a small cuddly dog and I agreed that she could get an iggy (Italian Greyhound) and the fostering would subside.
He’s still a puppy full of energy and is around eight months old. He gets along great with our big greyhounds but the cats are another issue. His playfulness is not amusing to the cats. He attempts to run with the big dogs in the back yard but ends up either getting in the way or falling way behind due to his size. The Italian Greys can run 25 MPH but that doesn’t mean much when you’re racing 48+ MPH giants!
