Written by Our neighborhood held a block party last night. We were eager to meet the people on our street and it turns out people from other streets in the neighborhood came by too. The kids rode bikes and played sports and the adults had spirits and various chip and dip combinations. We met lots of people and had a great time. I’m glad we bought a house in this neighborhood.

settled in the house
We’re nearly two months into full home ownership and discovering what an expense it is. Home Depot and Lowe’s are our friends lately. We’ve done quite a bit to ‘customize’ our house to our taste.
This weekend, we had Dan, Juhree and their new son Jason over. Good times.
closed on the house
We closed on our very first house today. The loans funded within an hour and we are now officially home owners! Good times!

Well…everyone seems to be asking for them so here they are!

…well not yet. They don’t officially open until Friday but tonight they had a special deal. Since they weren’t open yet, they couldn’t charge us money – but they were feeding us for free! Free food is always great, especially when it’s good BBQ. We got the works and even had cobbler and ice cream for dessert.
